The Bachelor of Arts (AB) in Communication program aims to develop graduates who are capable of advancing knowledge
and change utilizing the different media of human communication. Specifically, it
seeks to equip the Lasallian students with the theoretical framework on the history
and processes of communication and the mass media; develop their holistic skills
in technology-aided interpersonal and cross-cultural communication; expose them
to current trends and practices in organizational and
|
public communication; and
provide multi-faceted opportunities for personal growth and development through
interaction and dynamic involvement.
The Bachelor of Arts in Communication curriculum is
divided into General Education and Professional Courses. The General Education segment
focuses on concepts and skills in languages, humanities, technology, and the natural
and social sciences. On the other hand, the Professional Courses segment exposes
the students into the different components of communication and media practice –
journalism, public relations, theater arts, advertising, photography, and radio-television
production. These are supported by parallel courses in effective administration
