Our Vision
To help equip public elementary school students with the reading skills necessary for the learning process.
Our Mission
Inspired by the Lasallian mission of serving those who are in need, especially through education, BMRP aims to assist in the develop-ment of interest and skills in reading among students who are studying in public elementary schools in Batangas and elsewhere.
Book Borrowing Every visit of the BMRP to a school includes a book- borrowing opportunity for Grades 1-3 pupils. Guided Reading Students identified as slower readers are assisted by DLSL teacher-student volunteers through guided reading. Creative Learning Experiences While some students line up to enter the bus, others are gathered by DLSL student-volunteers for storytelling sessions, arts and crafts and film showing. Storytelling, Film Viewing, Arts and Crafts Values Formation and Social Consciousness Values and social consciousness are instilled in the children through the conduct of storybook activities that imbue moral lessons in the stories read. Nature and Scope of Operations The scope of operations of BMRP covers the public elementary schools of Lipa City and nearby municipalities. “Every book opened by a child is another survival tool for life… acquired for life.”
BRMP is run by volunteers consisting of faculty, librarians, researchers and students of DLSL who perform various tasks such as facilitating the various activities of the visits. “Every book opened by a child is another survival tool for life… acquired for life.”
Help share Lasallian education to children in public elementary schools.
