Leave Credits

Please be informed that due to the transition period for the new school year, there will be some adjustments on the leave covering the months of June 2016 to July 2017. Below are the details for your reference:

For Vacation Leave 

  1. For non-teaching (Academic and Non-academic) partners who are permanent and with at least three years of continuous service, 17.5 days for vacation leave will be given.

  2. For Faculty who are permanent with at least three years of continuous service, 2.5 days will be availed in June and July 2016 in addition to the 30 calendar days for Faculty Summer vacation.

  3. For Academic Service Faculty who are permanent and with at least three years of continuous service, 2.5 days will be given for June and July 2016 in addition to the 21 working days for vacation leave.

  4. For permanent partners with less than 1 year of service, there will be no vacation leave credits. 

  5. For permanent with one year but less than three years, one day leave will be given in addition to the 5 working days Service Incentive Leave.

  6. For Trial 2 & 3 partners, one day leave will be given in addition to the 5 working days for Service Incentive Leave. 

  7. For Trial 1 and probationary partners, there will be no vacation leave credits. 

For Sick Leave 

  1. For all permanent and Trial 3 partners, 17.5 days for Sick leave will be given. 

  2. For Trial 1 & 2 faculty and academic non-teaching and service faculty, pro-rated Sick Leave @ 1.25 days per month based on contract period will be given. 

  3. For Probationary non-academic non-teaching partners effective June 1, 2016, there will be no sick leave credits. 

NOTE: Please be guided that the leave credits mentioned will only be applicable for the period starting June 2016 to July 2017. Effective SY 17-18 (August 2017 - July 2018) the existing applicable leave crediting will be implemented (please refer to Appendix A of the Benefits Manual - Table on Leave Credits).
