Former UN Volunteer Holds Peace Seminar at DLSL

Rekha Nahar, Theosophical Order of Service (TOS) Philippines President and peace advocate from Bangladesh, conducted a seminar entitled "Peace Process: A Journey of Self-Transformation (Sharing of Experiences & Insights)" at the CBEAM Function Hall, September 21, as part of De La Salle Lipa's (DLSL's) International Day of Peace 2017 celebration.

Over 100 students and teachers from the College of Education, Arts and Sciences took part in the seminar. The two-hour seminar focused on journeying towards peace through self-awareness and eventually self-mastery. Nahar conducted exercises to aid participants to gain self-awareness, avoid distress, and achieve inner peace.

Nahar is a former United Nations (UN) volunteer and currently the Vice President of Golden Link Colleges, a non-profit, non-sectarian college established as a foundation in Caloocan. She also serves as the National Treasurer of the TOS Society of the Philippines.
