  DLSL represents Batangas Region to UP National Tilt

  De La Salle Lipa High School Department led the Batangas Region in the Pambansang Labanan sa Isip at Panitikan 2013, a national scholastic inter-highschool competition with the theme "Youth's Involvement in Political Transparency and Efficient Governance" sponsored by the University of the Philippines Los Baņos, February 23. Last January 26, UP Caballeros' 26th Tik Tak Talaok Literary Contest over all champion trophy was again kept by DLSL after winning 1st in the Dramatics Presentation played by Grade 9 students as well as in the Documentary Film Making led by the G10 students while G8 students won 2nd in the Speech Choir Competition with all presentations capturing this year's theme: "Samu't Saring Pananaw ng Makabagong Henerasyon sa Hamon ng Modernisasyon". Moreover, medals of recognition were bestowed to Ma. Eloisa Averilla of Class LS412 for Best Actress Award, and Christopher Cuevas, LS107, for Best Actor Award for their performances in the Dramatics Contest, and Althea Gonzales, LS401, who won 1st in Photo Interpretation and Ma. Shena Paz Monfero, LS412, who won 2nd in Poster Making among 10 secondary schools in the province for the individual categories. To defend the UP Caballeros of Batangas, DLSL participates and bags awards in the UPLB PALAISIPAN national level - from class LS401 James Louie Cuevas won 1st place in PhotoJournalism while Althea Gonzales 2nd in Essay Writing. Moreover, from LS 412, Zachary Nazarene Biseņio and John Macneil Mendoza, won 2nd and 3rd in the Poetry Writing, Ma. Shena Paz Monfero took 2nd in Poster Making, and Pamela Venice Aguila, grabbed 3rd in Slogan Making. Representing UP Caballeros' Team A, DLSL placed 2nd runner up among the 16 teams from provinces of Isabela, Batangas, Catanduanes and Quezon who vied for the Overall Champion title. The preparations for the said contests were a collaborated effort among the English, Filipino and Social Studies departments. Share
