  Lasallian Partners recognized at DLSL's Appreciation Dinner

  In line with the golden jubilee celebration, and as part of De La Salle Lipa's effort to recognize its partners who continue to help the institution for the past 50 years of teaching minds, touching hearts, and transforming lives, DLSL hosted an appreciation dinner on February 27, 2013 at Horacio Cebrero Hall, La Salle Green Hills. Together with the top administrators, headed by Br. Joaquin S. Martinez FSC, D. Min., the institution recognized and gave its warmest gratitude to all the people who made a huge impact and made a big difference in the lives of the students through scholarship programs and made the Lasallian education accessible in Lipa. Around 37 partners and guest representatives gathered on the said event. Dr. Alicia Botardo, Vice-Chancellor for Academics and Research, and Ms. Violeta Ramirez, Vice-Chancellor for Mission, joined the Brother President to award the token to 20 honorees, a miniature replica statue of kneeling St. La Salle in front of the Capilla De San Juan Bautista De La Salle, made by the son of a national artist - Mr. Abdul Imao -Toym Leon Imao. The honorees and guests present at the occasion were Atty. and Mrs. Abelardo-Teresita Pajarillo, Academe Foundation, Inc., De La Salle Lipa Alumni Assn., Inc., DLSL Multi Purpose Cooperative, De La Salle Alumni Assn. - South California, USA, Mr. Rabboni Arjonillo, Mr. Raul Martinez, Pusong Pinoy, One Heart for Hope, Mr. Alan Santos, DLSL HS '94, DLSL College Discipline Marshals, Mr. and Mrs. Denny Cagampan III and Family, Lipa City Government, Paxys, Inc., SM Foundation, DLSU-Science Foundation, Power Mac Center, Chevron Philippines, Inc. (Caltex), and Albert de los Santos of Animo Magazine. Concluding the activity was a luscious dinner especially prepared for the guests while the inspirational message was being delivered by Maria Angelica Reyes, a DLSL alumna and one of the Top Ten Students of the Philippines 2011 awardees followed as she shared her hardships and life-changing experiences that she had as a scholar of DLSL.
