  College SAO Confers 10 Outstanding Junior College Students 2017

  A new batch of the colleges' most promising students was conferred the Outstanding Junior College Student title in a formal affair held on March 24, 2017 at the Sen. Jose Diokno Auditorium.

From the 20 shortlisted potential recipients of the prestigious recognition, the following made it to the top 10:
1) Noel Cirujano, BS Education, Editor of the Lavoxa Group of Publications - Broadsheet and Tabloid, SM Foundation, Inc. Scholar, and Delegate in the Ayala Young Leaders;

2) Frances Anne Marie Gumapac, AB Communications; Student Government Executive Secretary, SLCUAA Original Oratory Champion, and Lasallian Leadership Journey (Batch 1) Participant;

3) Patricia Bautista, BS Accountancy, JPIA's Associate for Non-Academic Affairs, Academic Scholar, and Lasallian Leadership Journey (Batch 2) Participant;

4) Babylyn Rafol, BS Accountancy, Honor Society President, Second Place in the 3rd PNC Goodwill Cup, and Usaha Tegas Foundation, Inc. Scholar;

5) Alec Dylan Leviste, BS Accountancy, JPIA Executive Vice President, Mr. Ambassador of 2016 of the RFJPIA Region IV, and Insular Life Scholar;

6) Enrico Marco Vergara, BS Electronics Engineering, NSPT Lingkod Lasalyano External Coordinator, Licensed Electronics Technician, and Clerical Assistant Scholar;

7) Ivan Christian Familaran, AB Communication, Associate of Communication Students' Executive Secretary, Usaha Tegas Foundation, Inc. Scholar, and Lasallian Leadership Journey (Batch 2) Participant;

8) Mariel Dimaculangan, BS Accountancy, NFJPIA Region-IV's Standing Committee Leadership Development Member, Accounting Quiz Bee Champion in the 6th Peter P. Laurel Cup, and Usaha Tegas Foundation, Inc. Scholar;

9) Kendjil Dimaculangan, BS Electronics Engineering, IECEP DLSL Student Chapter Internal Vice President, Licensed Electronics Technician, and Br. President Scholarship Grants Scholar; and

10) Sophia Isabelle Ramos, BS Accountancy, JPIA Associate for Finance, Academic Scholar, and Lasallian Leadership Journey (Batch 2) Participant.

This year's finalists were Elaine May Amarillo (BS Psych), Junell Eric Carandang (BSA), Maria Rosario Ebreo ((BSLM), Noriel Katigbak (BSTM), Trisha Mae Latayan (BSMT), Rina Laylo (BSMT), Mary Kathlyn Lumbres (AB Comm), Fatima Magadia (BSECE), Bill Christian Magtibay (AB MMA), Jona Pagdingalan (BSMT),

Organizer of the annual search, College Student Activities Office (College SAO), elucidated that the program aims "to recognize outstanding junior college students who manifest the traits of [the] founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle in terms of superior academic performance, exemplary leadership, and exceptional community involvement," while they imbibe the "Lasallian core values: faith, seal for service and communion in mission since School Year 2009-2010."
