The De La Salle Lipa community began its day on May 15, 2017 with a heartfelt veneration to the founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle.

In commemoration of the proclamation by Pope Pius XII on the very same day in 1950 declaring the founder as the Patron Saint of Christian Teachers, the DLSL family in their green shirt, commenced the celebration with a Holy Mass, attended by select students.

It was followed by a prayer service to signal the enthronement of his image, a portrait which now adorns a prominent place in each classroom on campus.

Subsequently, Lasallian Partners continued the event in the afternoon with a Eucharistic celebration at the Capilla de San Juan Bautista de La Salle, led by Fr. Eugene Hechanova. The St. Francis Minor Seminary Rector summed up the gospel with three words: childlikeness, humility, and greatness; the characteristics that the founder possessed.

Symbolic offerings were made in honor of St. La Salle: Bible - for spirit of faith; Plant - for spirit of zeal for service; and Star - for spirit of communion in mission.

And to conclude a significant celebration among Lasallians that befits a patron saint who made a revolutionary contribution in the field of education, the DLSL family shared a feast together and bonded over the inspiration that the founder has left behind.
