College faculty research journal bears a new name

Before it was TALAS. Now it is De La Salle Lipa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research.

The official college faculty journal of De La Salle Lipa which used to be named TALAS is now officially known as De La Salle Lipa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research in order to give the publication an international character.

The maiden issue of the journal was launched last June 5 during the 2014 College Research Forum after a simple ceremony. Bearing the same ISSN 1665-5775, the new journal contains five peer-reviewed articles of college faculty members and one feature article.

The articles and the writers are: How Catholic is your School: Perceptions on the Catholic Identity of De La Salle Integrated School by Yolanda D. Africa, Ph. D., Amelito M. Castillo and Eldrick S. Pena; Affirming Youth Spirituality: A Positive Development Approach Through Photovoice by Vivian B. Titular, Ph. D.; Economically Important Plants of Mt. Malepunyo, Lipa City, Philippines by Bernardo C. Lunar; Revisiting "Dominus Iesus" Unity of Truth Toward Ecumenical Dialogue by Michael M. Ramos; Unpacking Task Components of Depeds Learning Package In English for Grade VII by Jose C. Macatangay; Competency Requirements for Entry Level Positions of Selected Deluxe Hotels In Metro Manila: A Guide For Effective Education Program, Training And Skills Enhancement by Roy G. Aguba.

Published by the Office of Research and Publications through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academics and Research, the Editorial Board of DLSL-JMR consists of Dr. Joy P. Talens, Editor-in-Chief, Jose C. Macatangay, Associate Editor, Dr. Edgar Allan G. Castro, Lay-out Artist and Mark Gerard C. Austria, Cover Design Artist.

DLSL-JMR is a refereed journal that publishes scholarly works of faculty on Education and Lasallian studies, Health/Safety/Security and Environment, Information Technology, Culture/Humanities and Community Engagement/Social Development.
