ORP holds College and IS Fora

In its commitment to uphold the quality of research among teachers, two research fora were initiated by the Office of Research and Publications before the opening of classes for school year 2014-2015.

Bannering the theme "A Celebration of Scholarship and Engagement," the fora consisted plenary and parallel paper presentations and were graced by the presence of Br. Joaquin S. Martinez, FSC, D. Min. President and Chancellor of DLSL and Dr. Alicia B. Botardo, Vice Chancellor for Academics and Research.

The Integrated School Research Forum which was held June 3, 2014 featured four plenary paper presentations of Noriel Navita: Teachers Multicultural Awareness of the School Environment: Basis for a Proposal for Enhancement Program for Teachers; Mayolisa Mantuano: Satisfaction Level of Parents of De La Salle Lipa on the Integrated School Academic Services and Mary Jane Gutierrez: Coping Self-Efficacy and Help Seeking Behavior of High School Students with Academic Difficulties in De La Salle Lipa. Parallel sessions divided into six tracks were held during the afternoon session of the Integrated School Research Forum.

Two days after the IS Research Forum, the College Research Forum was also conducted, June 5. Five plenary paper presentations were held in the morning of the forum. Plenary papers included: An Analysis of CGEAT Results of Amelito Castillo and Leonardo Magaling; Implications of Credentials Employee Selection Process and HEI Quality on Graduate Employment Success: Employment Transition Patterns in Labor Market of Batangas, Philippines of Dr. Edgar Allan G. Castro; Implementers Evaluation of the Community Involvement Programs of De La Salle Lipa written by Bernardo C. Lunar and Judith Alcaraz; Assessment of the Performance of Department Chairs of De La Salle Lipa of Dr. Hermogenes B. Panganiban and Status of Mangrove Vegetation in Lemery, Batangas, Southern Luzon, Philippines by Bernardo C. Lunar.

Six parallel paper presentations on areas Education and Lasallian Studies, Humanities, Arts and Culture/Community Involvement, Business Technology, Health, and Security and Environment followed through in the afternoon of the College Research Forum.

During the Research Fora, the De La Salle Lipa Integrated School Research Journal and the De La Salle Lipa Journal of Multidisciplinary Research were launched.
