May 15, 2006. De La Salle Lipa faculty and staff gathered for the annual Institutional General Assembly as a head start for the coming school year 2006 – 2007.
The half-day event kicked off with a Eucharistic Celebration led by Fr. Nonie Dolor. This was immediately followed by the presentation of the fourteen new co-workers. Br. Jun Estrellas FSC, the Director of the Brothers’ Community, and Br. Allan Buenavista FSC were likewise presented as new Lasallian Brothers to join the whole community.
55 permanent co-workers who satisfactorily complied with the service requirements for permanency, were conferred with certificates of permanency by Dr. Corazon L. Abansi, VP for Acacademics and Research, and Mr. Rex. Torrecampo, VP for Administration. This was immediately followed by the recognition of faculty and staff who have served the institution for more than 10 years. Mrs. Gloria P. Salazar, the 35-year service awardee, together with other 50 co-workers were conferred by Br. Manuel Pajarillo FSC, President, and Mr. Juan Lozano, Executive Vice President.
For this school year, Mr. Mauricio Lingao and Mrs. Leonora A. Mojado were recipients of the Juan Medrano award. This award was instituted by the Philippine District of the De La Salle Brothers to recognize faculty, support staff or service personnel who have rendered at least 25 years of continuous service in any Lasallian school in the District. Br. Jun Estrellas joined in conferment of the award.
