The College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) spearheaded an industry consultation program to align the Computer Engineering and Computer Science curriculum on 19 April 2006 at the Boardroom, Sen. Jose Diokno Building.
This program was conceptualized in response to DLSL's vision of being an excellent educational institution that will hone students' knowledge and skills and to answer to the demands of various industries and companies.

IT representatives and company managers who attended the consultation program were Mr. Manuel Manahan, Manager - Customer Support of Global Implementation Service Inc.; Mr. Joe Daigle, President of Narrasoft Philippines, together with Ms. Divine Muņoz, HR Manager, and Mr. Oliver Martinez, Managing Director; Mr. Joel Carbonilla, Product Manager, Siemens; Mr. Felipe Calvelo of Calvelo Engineered Systems; Mr. Christopher Igay, MIS Manager, Pacific Internet; and Mr. Florentino Magsino, Jr. ISD Manager, DLSL. Invited representatives had a focus group discussion with CITE faculty members to discuss the adopted curriculum and to increase the employability of DLSL graduates.

Guest participants were toured to the Mabini Building by the ComEng and ComSci faculty members to show off the new laboratories used by students including the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP) room. Moderated by the Dean of CITE, Dr. Merlita Medallon, faculty members were updated on current IT practices and briefed on hiring practices and procedures specifically in the field of IT.
