DLSL Admin in AHEIR Congress

De La Salle Lipa was well represented in the 6th Administrators' Congress of the Association of Higher Education Institutions in Region IV-A. The congress was held at the Tagaytay Country Hotel in Tagaytay City from 20-21 April 2006.

The DLSL delegation was led by Executive Vice-President Mr. Juan Lozano. Also in the delegation were the newly appointed Vice-President for Academics & Research (VPAR), Dr. Corazon Abansi; Dean Alicia Botardo of the College of Education, Arts & Sciences; Dean Merlita Medallon of the College of Information Technology & Engineering; Dean Anita Urbi of the College of Nursing; and Dean Erickson Martinez of Student Services. Also present was Mr. Amelito Castillo of the College of Business, Economics, Accountancy & Management.

The congresss was highlighted by the lectures and discourses of very good speakers, among which were former DLSL President and now De La Salle Philippines Auxiliary Visitor Br. Rafael Donato FSC and Fr. Roderick Salazar of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP).
The theme for the congress was "Moral and Ethical Values in Education: A Challenge to Educators During the Changing Times."

During the annual election of the association's officers, Mr. Juan Lozano was voted Treasurer of Region IV-A. Dr. Corazon Abansi, meanwhile, was elected President of the Batangas chapter.

Throughout the congress, members of the DLSL contingent were able to establish linkages with other higher education institutions throughout Region IV-A.
