Ms. Cory Quirino and Ms. Melissa Pizaña – Cruz led the DLSL front liners in a seminar hosted by the HRD in coordination with Anvil Publishing Inc on 22 May 2006 at the Mini Auditorium, Mabini Building.
Cory Quirino, a TV celebrity, wellness exponent, civic leader, author of the book “Forever Young”, columnist at PDI and presidential granddaughter, proved to her audience that she was indeed an embodiment of beauty and youthfulness. Participants were oriented on proper grooming inside the office, the basics of power dressing, considerations in make-up application and the “key” in staying young. She even stressed that healthy diet, exercise, taking enough sleep, drinking lots of water, mental exercise and relaxation were important things to consider to look and feel good.
On the other hand, Ms. Melissa Cruz, a handcrafted soap maker by profession and currently a member of the Handcrafted Soapmaker’s Guild in the USA and the Organic Producers Traders Association (OPTA) in the Philippines, demonstrated how to do natural beauty products like avocado conditioner, oatmeal exfoliating cream and salt bleaching cream. The author of the “Home Spa”, Cruz stressed that true beauty comes from within coupled by inner peace.
