On June 23, 2006 the Lasallian Assistance Management Program (LAMP) facilitated the 1st Integrated Scholars’ Orientation at the Sen Diokno Building Auditorium. Level 7- Level 10 scholars together with their parents attended the said activity.
Ms. Girlie Navarro gave the welcome remarks and was followed by a message from the Executive Vice President, Mr. Sonny Lozano. Mr. Lozano mentioned in his message the school’s thrust in achieving the target FLI full scholarship equivalence of 20% of the total school population by SY 2011.
In the orientation proper, Ms. Navarro discussed the implementing rules and regulations governing the respective scholarship programs. She emphasized the criteria for renewal of scholarship grants and the expectations of the LAMP Office from the scholars. She further stressed the parents’ role in safeguarding the sustainability of their children’s scholarship grants. The concept of partnership with the parents by the school towards creating an environment for learning that promotes respect for and appreciation of scholarship was also introduced during the orientation.
