Fifteen students qualified for the second interview by Ms. Zapata, Mr. Erickson Martinez, Dean for Students Services, and Dr. Corazon Abansi, VPAR. Ten students were able to reach the final interview with Mr. Juan Lozano, EVP, Mr. Rex Torrecampo, VPAd, and Ms. Angela Lichauco, Assistant Manager of the Veranda House and training partner in Nantucket.

Top administrators, faculty, guests and parents attended a send off party to the 5 qualified students on May 26 at the Café Le Barako. Inspiring messages were given by former IPTP students. They were scheduled to flight to US via Northwest Airlines on June 1, 2006.

HRM OJT @ Chéz

In preparation for the students’ practicum outside the school, like the IPTP, HRM students are assigned in Chéz Avenir to complete 100 hours of basic training in hotel and food service operation. The training includes maintenance of the hotel, reception and front desk operations, assisting in food production and beverage preparation, handling guests and customers, clerical works and promotions. Through this training, students are exposed to the field of hospitality while preparing them to face the challenges and more complex phase of hotel and restaurant operation scenarios.
