DLSL Faculty and Staff started the School Year with the annual Institutional Retreat, Organized Joy Day and Physical Exam on June 1, 2, 6 and 7, respectively, at the SENTRUM.

The Institutional Retreat, facilitated by the ILFO, commenced with a liturgical hour headed by a former DLSL student, Fr. Jojo Africa, Assistant Parish Priest of Sto. Tomas, Batangas. His talk focused on the definition of spirituality, which is basically relationship with God. This was immediately followed by a talk on spiritualizing work and relationships with co-workers by Brother Bo Sanchez, Editor, Kerygma Magazine. Rev. Fr. Mike Peralta, Retreat Director of the Capuchin Retreat House, focused on spiritualizing homes in order to build a spiritual family. The annual retreat culminated with an institutional mass celebrated by the school chaplain, Fr. Nonie Dolor.

On the other hand, the Organized Joy Day on June 2 was made possible through the efforts of the Human Resource Department in collaboration with the College and Integrated School P.E. Department. The main objective of this event is to establish sportsmanship and camaraderie among Lasallian partners. The day started with a warm-up exercise led by the P.E. faculty followed by an inspiring message of Br. Manuel Pajarillo. Physically and mentally challenging games such as the Las Math Challenge, Obstacle Course Relay, Patintero and Tug-O-War were participated in by the Lasallian Partners. They were divided according to colors and the Green Team was hailed as the over-all champion.

To ensure that all employees were physically fit for work and mentally capable to handle pressures in their job, the annual physical exam was conducted on June 6-7. The thorough tests include blood sugar and blood tests, chest x-ray, urinalysis, fecalysis, eye check-up and physical exam. St. Cecilia Polyclinic, an accredited clinic of the Fortune Care, conducted the APE.
