The fourth quarter meeting for 2006-2007 of the DLSL Board of Trustees was held on 14 June 2006 at the Sen. Jose Diokno Board Room. The meeting was presided over by DLSL President Br. Manuel Pajarillo FSC in the absence of Br. Edmundo Fernandez FSC, Chairman of the Board. The latter was attending the blessing and inauguration of a new school operated by the De La Salle Brothers in Bagac, Zambales.
Present during the meeting were BOT members Sr. Corazon Manalo, DC; Dr. Roberto Magsino; Lipa Archbishop Ramon Arguelles; Mr. Enrique Zalamea; and Dr. Mary Ann Sayoc. Also present were top school administrators Mr. Juan Lozano (Executive Vice-President), Dr. Corazon Abansi (VP for Academics & Research) and Mr. Rex Torrecampo (VP for Administration), along with FHR Director Mr. Arnold Capuloy, who gave the financial report.
Lozano, who gave the operations report, gave the BOT members insights into faculty, staff and student achievements; construction progress of the Mabini Building; enrolment and scholarship statistics; and technological innovations, among others. He also presented the Revised Employees' Manual for approval of the board. The manual will be in place until the end of schoolyear 2008-2009.
The next board meeting is scheduled in September, to be preceded by the annual meeting of the corporation.
