Last May 4 & 5, 2006, De La Salle Philippines invited representatives from the Marketing and Communications Offices of various Lasallian Schools all over the country for a seminar-workshop cum brainstorming session. The objective of the activity was to synchronize and systematize all actions and communications for the coming Centenary in 2011 and for “all Lasallians to move as one towards One Vision and to do this in the most effective and efficient way.”
The two-day gathering was held at the De La Salle Villa in Tagaytay. The seminar-workshop was facilitated by Mr. Adie Peña, who gave a very insightful background on where La Salle is now as well as tips and advice on creativity. The creative workshop was packed with interesting exercises on conceptualization, layout creation and execution and marketing planning.
Before the workshop wrapped up, the group came up with a theme befitting the objective, “One Sign of Faith. One La Salle.” The group also recommended to initially conduct a survey to assess the awareness and understanding of “One La Salle” among administrators, staff, teachers and students in all Lasallian schools.
The workshop proved to be a very fruitful and enlightening as it did not only give direction towards responsiveness to the Lasallian mission but also built a stronger bond between and among the Lasallians.
