    Representatives from Global Information System and SQL Wizard came on 25 May 2006 at the Boardroom, Sen. Diokno Building to meet with DLSL Administrators regarding with the improvement of DLSL Student Management System.

    Managers and Officers of the Administration Offices, headed by the VPAD, Mr. Rex V. Torrecampo, had an assembly to address the operating principles within the division on 23 May 2006 at AVR 3 Sen. Jose Diokno Bldg.
  7. Quirino Speaks Personality... Cruz Demos "Home Spa"
    Ms. Cory Quirino and Ms. Melissa Pizaña – Cruz led the DLSL front liners in a seminar hosted by the HRD in coordination with Anvil Publishing Inc on 22 May 2006 at the Mini Auditorium, Mabini Building.

    The Palarong Pambansa was held on May 3-13, 2006 in Naga City.
    DLSL HS Volleyball Team almost won the championship of the secondary boys' volleyball competition.
  9. Annual Assembly Bestows Awards
    The Institutional General Assembly was held at the SENTRUM on May 15, 2006. Fifty six (56) employees received cerficate of permanency and fifty one (51) service awardees were given recognition for their outstanding service to the institution.

    Kids enrolled in the PEP with courses vary from academics, sports-related and special skills graduated last 12 May the Br. Henry Virgil Gym.
  12. DLS South Cluster Meeting
    DE LA SALLE LIPA - Department heads and administrators from DLS - Canlubang, DLS - Dasmariñas, DLS - Health & Sciences Campus and DLS - Lipa gathered for the La Salle South cluster meeting on 9 May 2006.
  13. Business Management Program in Focus
    Joined in by 10 faculty members from the CBEAM, industry practitioners from various organizations engaged in a focus group discussion to assess the applicability of the current curriculum of the Business Management. The industry consultation was held at the Boardroom of Sen. Jose Diokno Building last 03 May.

  1. Anvil Awards
    DLSL's Ad Vincula: The President's Report 2005, won the Anvil Award of Merit for PR Tools conferred by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) at the 41st Anvil Awards held at the Manila Hotel last April 07, 2006. EVP Juan Lozano received the prestigious award grantedin exceptional corporate programs and tools for public relations.
  2. The Best in Batangas
    The Batangas Province Chamber of Commerce Inc. (BPCCI) in coordination with SM City Batangas held an exhibit called " The Best in Batangas" last April 21 and 22. This event featured all the best companies and organizations in the province of Batangas including teaming institutions lie De La Salle Lipa.

  6. Leadership Training Seminar: One Mind, One Soul, One Goal
    A leadership training seminar designed for all the Newly Elected Club Officers for SY 2006- 2007 was held in Fernando Airbase, Lipa City last 5-8 April, 2006. The participants were grouped into 4 flight : Alpha Professional Organizations), Bravo (Special Interest Organizations), Charlie ( Socio-Civic & Religious Organizations) & Delta (Student Government & Council of Student Organizations).
  7. Industry Consultation for the Computer Engineering and Computer Science Programs
    The first industry consultation for the Computer Engineering and Computer Science programs was hosted by DLSL on 19 April to align the present curriculum to industry standards. Participants were from Narrasoft Phils., Siemens, Global Implementation Services Inc., Calvelo Engineered Systems, Pacific Internet and DLSL - Information Systems Department.
  8. Institutional Strategic Planning Workshop 2006
    The Institutional Strategic Planning Workshop was held at the College Science Building last 06 April featured the presentation of the President's Agenda and the 10 -year Development Plan for DLSL. Guest Speakers were Architect Jojo Gutierrez and Mrs. Ma. Corazon Lopez.

    This year, close to a thousand graduating students registered at the Umpokan Na!, the DLSL Alumni Registry.  The seniors of both the Integrated School and the Colleges trouped to their respective computer labs to avail of this first-of-its-kind online alumni registry last 22 March.

  18. Show Me: Level 7 Style
    Acclaimed as one of the best features of the Integrated School by the PAASCU Accreditors, the Level 7 administration, faculty, staff and students are at it again with the annual "Show Me" showdown of talents and skills.  The activity is celebrated twice: "Show Me" -Level  3, it being the terminal year for the PLC, and "Show Me"-Level 7, it being the terminal year for the JLC.  At the end of the activity, JLC Asst. Pricipal Ferdinand Conti formally turned over the stewardship of the Level 7 students, all 13 sections of it, to SLC Asst. Principal Tess Latay.
  19. Moving On Seminar
    As part of the Integrated School's Homeroom Guidance program, the Guidance Office sponsored a talk on "Moving On ... Getting Ready for Level 7" on 7 March 2006.  The program aims to assist Level 6 students in preparing for Level  7.  Mr. Onin Agoncillo, L7 Moderator, was the invited speaker.  He discussed the academic and discipline policies and other significant matters related to Level 7.  The said activity was attended by Level 6 students and homeroom advisers.
  20. DLSL Inaugurates Facilities' Blessing
    Eleven rooms and a building was formally blessed in ceremonies led by DLSL Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Nonie Dolor, on 2 March 2006. The Blessing Committe, chaired by Dean Corazon L. Abansi (CBEAM), took over the preparations for the event. Gursts of the event, aside from teachers, faculty and staff, included representatives of SMART, DLSU-Dasmariñas, IBC Infotech, ForFront, F & J de Jesus, Linar, InfoEd Marketing, Diwa Leraning and National Bookstore.

  1. MTV Homecoming
    On 27 February, after 23 years, DLSL warmly welcomes Mr. Francis Reyes (Batch '83), lead guitarist of the band "The Dawn".  Coordinated bby MTV Homecoming, the whole day shoot featured Mr. Reyes in selected areas of the school.  The visit was capped by a concert of "The Dawn" at the SENTRUM.
  2. 2006 ACOES Exhibit
    Themed "Innovation and Beyond", the 2nd Association of Computer Engineering Students (ACOES) Exhibit at the Colleges lobby on 27-28 February featured lots of projects made by the students.  Of these designs and projects, one will be chosen as the 'Best Project Design" and will be awarded on March 7, 2006.

  3. Scholar Assembly
    The first ever Scholars Recognition Day, "Proud to be a Green Achiever'', was held last February 7, 2006, 2:30 pm at the MTDC Building of the Sen. Jose Diokno Building. Thirty (30) scholars were given recognition for their outstanding Academic and Extra Curricular Performances. Parents of the awardees were also present in the said occasion. - Henson Ola
  4. Sayaw Filipinas
    A celebration of Filipino spirit and creativity through dance. The Sayaw Filipinas was held last 17 February at the SENTRUM. Performers were UPHL Dance Troupe, Lipa Integrated Performing Arts, Danz Zone, La Salle Filipiniana Dance Company, University of Batangas Dance Company, Dynasty 2000, UPLB Filipiniana Folk Dance Troupe, Aligma, and Mr. Ryan Sabaybay.
  5. Mr. and Ms. Lasallian Ambassadors. The Finals
    Ms. Gerlinde Habit (BSN) and Mr. Robert Paluay (BSBio) emerged as the title holders for the 1st Mr. & Ms. Lasallian Ambassador search sponsored by the Colleges Student Government. The Pageant Night was held on 9 February at the SENTRUM. Judges were Ms. Lorna Achico, Ms Malou Malaluan, Dr. Nora Magnaye, Mr. Ryan Sabaybay, and Mr. Adel Orcena (SMART Communications).
  6. Culinary Arts Cooking Demonstration
    Giving the institution a taste of what the Culinary Arts Course can offer, Chef Roberto Clemeña lead the cooking demonstration last 09 February, during the Foundation Week celebrations, at the Centen to a large gathering of HRM students.
  7. Grand Opening of the Fair Grounds
    On 9 February, at the Open Grounds Grandstand, Br. Manuel R. Pajarillo FSC formally opened the Fair Grounds and Rides for the 44th Foundation Week celebrations. This year's host, the Integrated School, lead by its Principal, Ms. Violeta Ramirez, facilitated the opening ceremonies.

    The Scholar's Recognition Day was held on 09 February at the Sen. Jose Diokno Building Auditorium.

  10. PLC Dance Festival
    Colorful costumes and lively tunes filled the SENTRUM on the last day of the 44th Foundation Week celebrations on 11 February with the staging of the annual PLC Mass dance. Teachers, students and their parents were present and witness to the festive event where a surprise appearance of a mascot of the La Salle Brothers delighted the crowd.
  11. Animo Kid Idol. The Finals
    Ms. Ericka Sonza, Level 1 pupil, emerged as Animo Kid Idol Grand winner in the first-ever Animo Kid Idol Search held last 9 February at the SENTRUM. All contestants were judged based on the talent showdown and the interview portion.

JANUARY 2006
  1. Communion Rites
    Level 3 students of the Integrated School received for the first time the Body of Christ on 15 January 2006. Fr. Nonie Dolor, the School Chaplain, assisted by Br. Dindo Maralit, Director of the Brothers' Community, officiated the Communion Rites.
  2. Pillars of Lasallian Education. The Launch
    Last January 24, selected teachers of the Integrated School exhibited their special hobbies and interest at the Hall of Lasallian Saints. Simultaneously, teachers of the same unit who have stayed in the institution for 25 years and more were given recognition.
  3. Pillars of Lasallian Education. The Honoring
    In the Teachers and Staff Day sponsored by the Student Coordinating Board last 26 January, selected teachers of the Integrated School who exhibited their special hobbies and interest were recognized. Likewise, teachers of the same unit who have stayed in the institution for 25 years and more - and were coined "Pillars of Lasallian Education" - were given tokens and were given recognition by the student body.
  4. Animo Kid Idol Elimination
    Close to twenty kids from the Primary Learning Community vie it out for the top three positions per level to qualify as finalists for the 1st Animo Kid Idol Search. Held at the Br. Henry Virgil Memorial Gymnasium on 19 January, kids were judged based on their talents and skills.
  5. Mr. and Mrs. Lasallian Ambassadors (Pre-Pageant)
    Last 25 January, eleven male and female hopefuls, representing different degree courses, vie it out at the College Science Building Mini-Auditorium for the top seven places in the 1st Mr. and Ms. La Salle Ambassadors. The Pre-Pageant event zeroed on the top seven contenders based on their submitted essays, casual wear and question and answer portion.

  1. H3A and H3B Food Merchandising
    Pictures taken at the Hotel Chez Avenir, Lobby last December 14, 2005 during the Food Merchandising activity of H3A and H3B classes. Each section had prepared Christmas goodies like Strawberry-Cheese Truffles; Brownies, Christmas Coconut Cookies and oatmeal Cookies were sold.
  2. Seminar-Workshop on "Working Across Culture"
    A seminar-wrokshop on "Working Across Culture" was held last December 14, 2005 at AVR, Senator Jose Diokno Building. Ms. Maricar Donato of Washingtours and Events, USA and 2nd year BS Tourism Students were the attendees.
  3. Anak Batangueño Congress
    Taking the initiative a step higher, the Archdiocese tied up with DLSL and a Batangas core group on the first ever ANAK Batangueño Congress last December 6, 2005 at the DLSL Sentrum. The core group is comprised of representatives from selected LIDICSA schools, the Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People – ECMI (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines) and the Lipa Archdiocesan Commission on Migrants and Mission (LACMMI).   4. The De La Salle Lipa Book Mobile and Reading Program
    Learn to Read. Read to Learn.
    With this dictum as battle cry, De La Salle Lipa launches its Book Mobile and Reading Program (BMRP), an outreach project, last December 2, 2005 at the SENTRUM. This is in line with the institution’s continuous effort to provide more opportunities for sharing Lasallian education to the young and marginalized sector of society. Read News

  1. SELYO: A Philately Exhibit
    The Philippine Postal Corporation – Region IV, in cooperation with the Marketing Communications Department and the Cultural Office, featured “SELYO”, a philatelic exhibit showcasing stamps of various subjects. The event was held at the 5 th Flr. MTDC Auditorium last November 15 to 18. Guests of the event were various philatelic clubs who came as far as Gumaca, Quezon to witness the opening of the event. Philatelist speakers were Mr. Stanley Siu and Mr. Jose Pepon Olivera, both from the Quezon Province.
OCTOBER 2005
  1. A FRUITFUL AND FUN-FILLED DAY FOR THE SERVICES DIRECTORATE
    The Services Directorate had a one day Lasallian Formation on 28 October 2005. This was organized with the aim of promoting camaraderie, team building and solidarity, to improve performance and strengthen commitment to service through an inspiring and at the same time stimulating activity.
  2. BRITISH EMBASSY AT DLSL
    Lipa, Batangas – De La Salle Lipa hosts the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland last October 18 to 19 in the second series of its International Week celebrations, the first being the Embassy of Spain last September .
  3. BASKETEERS DIVISION CHAMPS AGAIN
    The young men, headed by Coach Niño Agoncillo and Asst. Coach Jrex Atienza, emerged victorious against twice-to-beat contender Mabini Academy during the Lipa City Division Athletic Meet held on October 13-15 at various school athletic grounds in the city.
    Other events featured in the Division Meet were taekwondo, athletics and volleyball. DLSL served as venue to the taekwondo and athletics events.
  4. DLSL WOOD PUSHERS:NCAA CHAMPS
    From High school to Colleges divisions, the DLSL sports fanatics have a lot to celebrate. Fresh from their division meet victory, the DLSL HS wood pushers together with their College counterparts went and performed a three-peat conquering the NCAA-South Senior and Junior Chess Divisions. The teams lorded over eight other schools in the Southern Tagalog region. The tournament was held last October 16-17, 2005.
SEPTEMBER 2005
  1. Milo Little Olympics Victory
    Christine Grace Tan (L6-502) and Ma. Fides Sarmiento (BM21) were heralded as Most Outstanding Athletes in their respective sports in the recently concluded Milo Little Olympics. DLSL ranked 2nd-runner-up over-all in the elementary division. The awarding was held at the Century Park Sheraton Hotel on 28 September.
  2. Jornadas Españolas
    The opening salvo for this year's International weeks kicked off with Jornadas Españolas (Spanish Day) held on 14-15 September at the Silid Batangas, SENTRUM.
  3. Cheer Dance
    Level 7 sections challenged each other during the Cheer Dance Competition held last 15 September at the SENTRUM. The contest precede the Intramurals held last 19-23 September.
  4. IS Intramurals Opening
    The opening ceremony of the Integrated School SLC Intramurals was held last 12 September at the SENTRUM. The sporting event lasted the whole week.
  5. NCAA South Games
    The DLSL Volleyball teams were victorious in the NCAA South Games played at San Beda Alabang on 10-11 September.
  6. Genting Highland/Kuala Lumpur Tour
    The 2nd year tourism students currently enrolled in World Geography and International Tourism together with some third year BSHRM students had a guided tour with Ms. Joy S. Zapata and Ms. Evangeline M. Necio in Genting Highlands and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last September 7-10.
  7. Sweet, Soft and Sensual Serenades
    The H4A and H4B organized special functions in line with their Catering and Quantity Food Production Course. The H4B class held its event at the Hotel Chez Avenir last october 27, 2005 with the theme "Sweet, Soft and Sensual Serenades." On the other hand, the H4A class carried out the concept "Spices of East Meet the Flavors of the West." Both functions were well attended by the school administrators and guests.
  8. Colleges Intramurals Opening
    September is often Intramurals month and the Colleges had a headstart with opening cremonies held on 5 September at the Sentrum. The sporting event lasted until 12 September.
  9. DLSL Hosts RiFA Girls
    DLSL hosted the RiFA girls game last 4 September. Nine teams, including the DLSL lady booters, contended against each other.
  10. NCAA-South Season Opens!
    The 7th NCAA-South Season opens last 3 September with the University of Perpetual Help Laguna as host. Delegates from nine(9) competing teams took center stage at the parade.
  11. Parents Assembly
    The Integrated School SLC Parents Assembly was held on 3 September at the MTDC Auditorium. Issues discussed were course offerings, career pathing and reports from Level 10 moderators on discipline.

  5. PEP Rally
    On 18 August 2005, DE LA SALLE LIPA officially opened the start of 2005-2006 Sports Season through the PEP Rally held at the SENTRUM. Part of the event were the parade of athletes, review of the achievement of teams in the 2004-2005 Sports Season and presentation of the PEP Squad.
  6. DLSL Intranet Launching
    The Marketing Communications Department launched the newly developed DLSL intranet last August 17, 2005 at the MTDC Boardroom. The intranet was a project of the Web Development Office headed by Mr. Jerwin Lasin. Inspired by the movie “The Matrix”, the MCD used it as the central theme to mark another innovative project.
  7. A New College Science Building Awaits Students
    The newly constructed DLSL College Science Building had a soft blessing on 15 August 2005. The blessing started with a Eucharistic Celebration officiated by Fr. Nonie Dolor followed by a short program. Top administrators led by Bro. Mawell Pajarillo FSC and some members of the Board of Trustees initiated the ribbon cutting ceremony with the Oblates of St. Joseph priests blessing the ground floor up to the fourth floor.
  8. DLSL Voices Exhibit
    The DLS Voices officially opened their month-long exhibit at the Silid Batangas, showcasing photos and videos of their European tour on August 15.
  9. Visitors from HONDA
    The MCD facilitated a campus tour on 29 July 2005 for Mr. Jules R. Cruz, the Market Research Manager of Honda Philippines Inc., together with staff from HONDA Singapore in line with their objective of studying the market for Honda.
