Br Manuel Pajarillo FSC was invited for the second time to be speaker at the World University Presidents’ Dialogue during the 2009 Asian University Presidents’ Forum (AUPF) held at the Hotel Borobudur in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 19-21, 2009. Among the other University Presidents who spoke were Dr. Yosef Shevel of Galillee College in Israel, Dr. Lutgardo Barbo of Philippine Normal University, Dr. Matthew Min-Teh Yu of Providence University in Taiwan and Br Manuel Pajarillo FSC of De La Salle Lipa.

While other presentations showed how great their universities are by showing the big number of PhD’s they employ, the thousand students in their enrollment, and the number of graduates they produce each year, Br Mawel did his views on Quality assurance in an unconventional way.  His talk was focused on the quality of teachers we employ and the quality of graduates we produce.  He further stressed that it is not a numbers game but that of quality and the kind of person that a student has become after he finished his education that matters.  Br. Mawel got a lot of praises from the other University Presidents and all wished that there would be more time for open forum so Br. Mawel can share more of his thoughts to the participants.
