In celebration of the 100th year of Lasallian presence in the Philippines, another monumental event takes place at De La Salle Lipa.

On August 22, the entire De La Salle Lipa community warmly welcomed the relics of St. John Baptist De La Salle, the founder of La Salle schools and the La Salle Brothers´ congregation.

After spending two days at the San Sebastian Cathedral in Lipa City from August 20 to 21, the relics were transferred to DLSL.

The roaring thunder of drums by the PEP Squad and the deafening cheer of all the students, from nursery to tertiary, and of all the employees who assembled on the campus manifested the longing for the founder and the excitement to finally have him in DLSL.

A procession of the relics of the patron saint of teachers took place on the campus which was followed by a celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the SENTRUM.

The relics, originally planned to be borrowed by the De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) sector for the centennial celebration, was given instead as a present by the Superior General, Br. Alvaro Rodriguez Echeverria FSC.

St. La Salle´s relics are now available for public viewing and veneration starting August 22 to 26 and 29 to 31 at the San Juan Bautista De La Salle Capilla. Daily mass is also held at 5:00 PM.
