 The opening of the Unity Cup DLSL Faculty and Staff Men´s Basketball Tournament, Season 5, was held on July 13, 2012 at the SENTRUM.
The annual tourney gathered the institutions´ and its service providers´ select basketball players from various teams, namely, Administration (Team Capt. Paulo Jerome Lescano), College of Education Arts and Sciences (Team Capt. Aldin Gonzales), Commander Security Agency (Team Capt. Rolando Caliboso), Integrated School (Team Capt. Jrex Atienza), Stewards Manpower Supply & Services (Team Capt. Emiel Montenegro) and the Vice Chancellor for Mission team (Team Capt. Welmer Adajar).
This year´s opening revived the competition of Ms. Unity Cup, the lady representative of each team that best exemplify the group´s charisma, aside from the usual bet on the best in uniform.
VCM´s representative – Reanrose Dragon – won the title of Ms. Unity Cup for season 5 besting other hopefuls, namely, Issa Malaluan (Admin), Karen Romero (CEAS), Lorna Garcia (Commander Security), Ellen Camacho (IS), and Francesca Maglalang (SMSS).
And based on the tallied scores of the judges: Br. Antonio Servando FSC, VCAd; Dr. Alice Botardo, VCAR; and Violeta Ramirez, VCM, winner of the best in uniform is the Commander Security team.
