 When the hands of victory are the ones guiding, then, every endeavor results to nothing but triumph.
This is what the JLC Math team had experienced from the start to the end of their challenges as they joined the contests sponsored by various groups and clubs in the division and regional levels.
Regional Metrobank-DepEd-MTAP-Math Challenge is the JLC Math Team´s latest conquest, which made them Champion in the Team Competition and First runner-up in the Individual written competition at Padre Valerio Malabanan Memorial Elementary School, March 15-16.
Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI), Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines (MTAP), Quiz Bee Foundation, and DepED Region IV-A Calabarzon jointly sponsored the said contest.
The JLC Math team is composed of Geoffrey Pagcaliwagan, L5BB404 and Vincent Angelo L. Suarez, L5 BB308. They ended as Champion in the team competition while Suarez was first runner-up in the individual written competition. Mr. Dennis Dimaala, the coach/trainer of the team, accompanied them in the contest.
Moreover, Suarez was conferred as Silver Medalist by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Youth Excellence in Science (YES) Awards together with the 23 students from Region IV-A Calabarzon Region, March 20 at Los Baños, Laguna.
Pagcaliwagan, on the other hand, was declared as First CyberMath Champion during the first ever awarding ceremony in Canossa Academy Lipa City last Feb.10, 2012.
