Faculty members of DLSL Integrated School shared their research outputs in a Local Research Forum sponsored by the Research and Publications Office at the Learning Resource Center 2, May 23. Graced by the presence of School President and Chancellor, Br. Joaquin S. Martinez FSC, D. Min. who delivered the inspirational message and Dr. Alicia B. Botardo, VCAR who gave the remarks of the occasion, the forum was divided into plenary paper presentation and parallel sessions with three clusters.
Mr. Ruel M. Levida presented his paper titled "Cytotoxic Isothiocyanates from Moringa Oleifera Lam Seeds" during the plenary. In the Cluster 1 of the parallel sessions, Mr. Zaldy Jazareno, Mr. Fred Amul, Mr. Glenford Prospero and Mr. Noriel Navita presented their research outputs on The Effect of Journal Reflection Writing to Students’ Attendance and Attitude in the Sunday Mass, Assessment on the Management and Supervision of the Programs in the St. Br. Jaime Hilario FSC Learning Community, Discipline Performance of Regular Students of Batch 2012 and Development, Validation and Try-out Modules in Philippine History for Foreign Students respectively.
Researches about the Achievement of DLSL Level 3 and 5 Students in Relation to Language Used as Media of Instruction in Araling Panlipunan presented by Mr. Silverio Vallejo and Ms. Buena Jerusalem and CEM Diagnostic Test Pretest and Posttest Results in Level 6 for SY 2011-2012 of Ms. Agripina Pangan were featured in the second cluster of the parallel sessions.
Three research outputs were imparted in the third cluster. Ms. Myrna de Castro discussed in her paper how to improve Level 5 Students Performance in English Through Interactive Teaching Strategies while Ms. Mona Liza De Villa presented the Performance of the Level 6 in the National Achievement Test. Ms. Randy Palestina shared to the group the Advantages and Disadvantages of Group Project Making in Handicraft Project Making during SY 2011-2012 in HELE 6.
The Research Forum is line with DLSL´s agenda of imbibing the culture of research to its faculty.
