 Mark Justine M. Domingo, Edward Martin B. Macasadia and Althea M. Gonzales, all third year high school students (LS407), emerged as the champions in the recently concluded Bio Blast 2012, beating 28 other teams from different schools in the CALABARZON area. The said event was hosted by the Philbioscientia Organization at the University of the Philippines – Los Baños lat February 11, 2012.
The three contestants were trained by the faculty of level 8 Biology teachers, one of them Imelda Silva, who accompanied the team during the contest. Christine Bernadine L. Mercado (LS407) and Karmela Rae T. Baldo (LS406), also junior high school students, were likewise with the team as they participated in the poster-making and essay-writing contest, respectively.
