A two year program for students intending to become certified entrepreneurs with a strong sense of social responsibility. It is a highly comprehensive program that initiates the prospective entrepreneur to the rudiments of Management, Economics, Finance and Accountancy and a host of general education subjects that include English, Mathematics and Statistics, Filipino and Social Sciences. Towards the second and terminal year, the student is required to undergo an intensive Practicum program that would enable him/her to apply the concepts, techniques and skills that he/she has gained in all the subjects taken. Besides, the student has the option to take electives in the areas of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Computer Applications. Should the student decide to pursue a four-year program after finishing this two-year course, he/she may do so provided that all requirements for that program (e.g. qualifying examinations and general weighted average grade) have been complied with. |

Busiorg (Business Organization and Management)
This course deals with the business orientation, the principles, theories, functions and skills of management, as well as the process involved like planning, staffing, directing and controlling. Emphasis will be placed on the development of planning skills, on goal and objective setting and on the formulation of concrete strategies and techniques related to enterprise development. Prinent (Principles of Entrepreneurship 1)
This course deals with the introductory concepts and principles of Entrepreneurship, covering planning, organizing, developing and managing a small-scale enterprise with emphasis on innovation. The student is taught how to allocate resources (including time, money, materials, and human resources), how to work with people and to negotiate with other entrepreneurs, how to acquire and use information from the environment and how to distinguish trends and to forecast the probability of success or failure of any business undertaking.
Prinent 2 (Principles of Entrepreneurship II)
A sequel of Prinent, this course deals with the actual establishment of the enterprise, particularly as it covers the aspects of financing, production, marketing and distribution of the product, good or service. The student is trained on how to prepare a business plan, to conduct simple market researches to forecast demand and supply levels, to design a process flow chart of the production process, to develop concrete, suitable marketing strategies and to prepare and analyze financial statements. More importantly, he/she is given the chance to make important decisions and to foresee the probable effects of these decisions.
Humanre (Human Resource Management)
This course deals with the managerial functions of planning, organizing, directing and motivating the human resources of an organization using the operative functions of human resource planning, recruitment, selection and placement, training and development, performance rating, compensation, maintenance and evaluation. The student is trained on how to prepare job descriptions and specifications, how to conduct job interviews, how to design organizational charts that fit the mission of the enterprise and how to come up with training programs that will hone and develop the skills of the workers.
Practic (Enterprise Development - Practicum)
This course is an intensive practicum program involving in-campus and off-campus experiences, giving the graduating student a wide variety of exposures in different business settings and giving him/her the opportunity to interact with successful entrepreneurs, and in the process, applying the concepts, techniques and skills learned from previous courses. The direct participatory technique will be employed, whereby the student takes part in day-to-day operations - from production to marketing, from designing the task structure to detecting the flow of finances.
Finance (Financing the Enterprise)
This course deals with the financial requirements of the enterprise, with the intent of guiding or directing the prospective entrepreneur about the different types and sources of financing, including the mechanics and terms of their availment. The student is trained to develop the ability to seek alternative financing sources to actually experience applying for loans, to compute the regular amortization, to allocate this limited financial resource and to make sure that funds are properly accounted for. |
