Deans are selected rather than elected, with nominations as well as applications being considered. Nominees can come from within and from outside De La Salle Lipa. The Nomination Committee for the Deans should be constituted on the principle of adequate representation. The selection committee will be composed of the following:
- All Department Chairs/Program Directors/Office Heads under the College, one of whom shall be elected as chair of the Committee
- One representative each from Faculty and staff (for academic, non-teaching)
- One student representative
The Nominations Committee will submit the report to the OVCAR.
Academic deans shall be appointed by the President from a list of three to five candidates, endorsed by the Chancellor from a short list furnished by the VCAR after his or her own consultations with the department heads/program directors in the college and a Nominations Committee whose composition is enumerated above.
