GUIDELINES FOR FRESHMEN APPLICANTS
I. QUALIFIED APPLICANTS
The following qualify for regular admission as freshmen:
- Graduates of Department of Education accredited high schools;
- High school seniors (equivalent to 4th year or grade 12, depending on the educational system that the school follows) expecting to graduate by the end of the school year;
- High school students who have not taken any college work and hold Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) certificates indicating eligibility for admission to college;
- Transfer students from other universities and colleges accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) who are willing to start again as freshmen;
- Filipinos who have graduated from secondary schools abroad;
- Foreign applicants who are graduating or have graduated from a high school or its equivalent abroad.
II. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A. Requirements for admission are the following:
- Properly accomplished application form
- Two (2) 2x2 recent, identical color pictures with white background
- Three (3) recommendation letters from the following: HS principal, homeroom adviser, and guidance counselor (Use DLSL Recommendation Form). Each letter must be placed inside a sealed white envelope signed on the flap by the issuer.
- High school grades (1st to 3rd year) certified by the school registrar or principal (Use DLSL Form)
- If CSAT qualifier, one (1) photocopy of CSAT results (back-to-back)
* Freshmen applicants with 60 percentile rank or above in CSAT are exempted from the admissions test.
* Freshmen applicants for BS Nursing with 70 percentile rank or above are also exempted from the admissions test.
- If already graduated in previous school year, or earlier, one (1) photocopy of certification from the HS registrar stating the student has never enrolled in any college or university.
- If Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) qualifier, one (1) photocopy of PEPT certificate of qualification for college.
- If married, two (2) photocopies of marriage certificate duly signed by a priest/minister.
B. Any Falsification Of Documents Submitted Constitutes Grounds For Disqualification.
III. CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
Applicants for college courses at De La Salle Lipa are admitted based on the following criteria:
- DLSL Admissions Test
- High School Grades
- Recommendation from the High School Principal, Class Adviser and Guidance Counselor
IV. APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR FRESHMEN
Note: Top 10 graduating students are exempt from paying the admissions-processing fee. Before securing an application form, the student should present a certification from his/her high school Principal stating the student’s rank in third year high school.
- Proceed to the Admissions Office for initial screening.
- Pay the admissions-processing fee at the Cashier’s Office. This is non-refundable and non-transferable.
a. P400.00 for freshmen
b. P300.00 for CSAT qualifiers
- Present the official receipt to the Admissions Office to secure application form and the schedule of admission test. CSAT qualifiers are exempt from taking the admission test.
- Give the form on high school grades to your high school registrar and recommendation form to your guidance counselor, homeroom adviser and high school principal. Applicants are not allowed to accomplish said forms.
- Submit to the Admissions Office the completed application form, with all the required documents, in a long brown envelope at least one week before the preferred admission test date. Incomplete requirements will not be processed. For CSAT qualifiers exempted in the admissions test, submit the complete requirements at any time during office hours.
- Secure your admissions test permit. The date and the venue of the examination will be indicated on the permit.
- Take the admission test on the scheduled date. Applicants must be at the designated testing room at least 30 minutes before the examination. Late examinees will not be allowed to take the examination. The test permit must be presented to the proctor.
- Results may be communicated in any or all of five ways:
a. Posting within the college
b. Posting on the DLSL website
c. Inquiry through mobile no. 0920- 2272336
d. Status letters that are mailed to the address indicated in the application form
If no letter is received after one week upon release of results, applicants are advised to contact the Admissions Office for subsequent instructions.
e. Transmission through the guidance counselor.
- Interview/s may be required based on the admission test results or on the credentials submitted.
- Secure from the Admissions Office an endorsement slip to be given to the DLSL clinic for physical examination. The physical examination must be completed within the period specified.
a. Applicants for BS HRM/Certificate in HRM and BS Nursing are required to submit to the DLSL clinic a copy of chest x-ray results and blood test result for Hepatitis B (HBSAG - Eliza method) on the period specified.
b. The procedure must be done from the accredited hospital/clinic of DLSL. If already vaccinated, present a certification of vaccination from the doctor or a certified true copy of the Hepatitis B vaccination record.
- Once a notice of acceptance has been received, the applicant must pay the reservation fee of P1, 000.00 within the period stated on the notice of acceptance. RESERVATION IS ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. The reservation fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, but will be deducted from the tuition and fees to be paid during enrollment. No late reservations will be entertained unless slots become available.
- Applicants who qualify for admission are required to submit the following on the enrollment date specified in the acceptance letter:
a. Original Report Card (Form 138)
b. Original copy and two (2) photocopies of NSO-certified birth certificate
c. Two (2) 2x 2 recent, identical color pictures with white background
d. Accomplished information sheet
e. If already graduated in previous school year or earlier, original copy of certification from the HS Registrar stating that the student has never enrolled in any college or university.
f. If Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) qualifier, original copy of PEPT certificate of qualification for college.
g. If married, two (2) photocopies of marriage certificate duly signed by a priest minister.
Note: Applicants who fail to enroll on the date indicated in the acceptance letter will automatically forfeit their slots in favor of wait-listed applicants.
V. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BS NURSING APPLICANTS
Applicants to the BS Nursing program are subject to the following additional requirements:
- Average of at least 80 from first to third year high school.
- Certificate from the high school registrar indicating the student’s rank among the graduating class and the total number of the graduating students. The school must be duly recognized by the Department of Education.
- Have met the cut-off score in the admission test.
- Have passed the interview conducted by the Dean of Nursing or by a committee created for such a purpose.
- Be physically healthy as attested to by a certificate of good health from the DLSL school physician/school nurse.
- Certification of Hepatitis B vaccination from the doctor or a certified true copy of the Hepatitis B vaccination record and chest x-ray results. The procedure must be done from the accredited hospital/clinic of DLSL.
- Be unmarried.

SCHEDULE OF TESTING
The De La Salle Lipa Admissions Tests are usually given on Saturdays from July until April. Special Testing on weekdays may be held, depending on the number of examinees. Test registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
