GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFER APPLICANTS

I. TRANSFER APPLICANTS (CHED) TO DEGREE PROGRAMS

Qualified Applicants:

  • Undergraduate students of a degree program from other school.
  • Undergraduate students of a 2-year certificate/non-degree program under CHED.
  • Graduates of a 2-year certificate/non-degree program under CHED.

Provided that he/she:
  1. Has not incurred more than one (1) failure and one (1) dropped subject;
  2. Has not incurred more than two (2) dropped subjects
  3. Dropped all subjects during the first semester of his/her first year; or
  4. Dropped all subjects during his/her second, third or fourth semester in the school last attended but does not have failure or dropped subject in any previous semester/s.

Crediting of Subjects

  • Minor subjects shall be credited as long as they have the same course description as DLSL’s.
  • Major subjects will not be given credit.
  • If subjects have different number of units, they will be credited if the number of units is greater than that of DLSL’s.
  • Student will not be given credit for the subjects whose prerequisites were not taken.
  • At least 80% of the total number of academic units in DLSL curriculum must be taken at DLSL.

Criteria for Admissions

  • DLSL Admissions Test
  • Grade point average of at least 2.5 or its equivalent and not more than two (2) failing grades in any of the subjects taken, including the semester when the application is filed.
  • Recommendation from the College Dean, Department Head, and Guidance Counselor

II. TRANSFER APPLICANTS TO BS NURSING

Qualified Applicants:

  • Undergraduates of a degree program, except BS Nursing.
  • Have never incurred Failed and/or Dropped subject.
  • Have enrolled in only one college/university prior to filing of application to DLSL.
  • Have met the cut-off score in the admission test.
  • Have passed the English Diagnostic Test.
  • Have passed the interview conducted by the Dean of Nursing or by a committee created for such a purpose.
  • Be physically healthy as attested by a certificate of good health from the DLSL school physician/school nurse.
  • Be unmarried.

Crediting

* The applicant agrees that no subject whatsoever taken in the previous school he/she attended will be given credit.

III. TRANSFER APPLICANTS (TESDA) FOR DEGREE PROGRAMS

Qualified Applicants

  • Undergraduate students of a 2-year certificate/non-degree program under TESDA.
  • Graduates of a 2-year certificate/non-degree program under TESDA.
  • Provided that he/she has no more than two (2) or more failing grade from another college/university, including the semester when the application is filed.

Crediting of Subjects

* The applicant agrees that no subject whatsoever taken in the 2-yr. Course under the TESDA (Technical Education & Skills Development Authority) Program in previous school he/she attended will be given credit as he/she will be enrolled as freshman.

IV. TRANSFER APPLICANTS FOR CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS

Qualified Applicants

  • Graduate /undergraduate students of a degree program from other schools.
  • Graduate/undergraduate students of a 2-year certificate/non-degree program from other schools.

Crediting of Subjects

* The applicant agrees that no subject whatsoever taken in the previous school he/she attended will be given credit, as he/she will be enrolled as freshmen. This rule applies even though he/she will be applying for a degree program later on.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR TRANSFER APPLICANTS

  1. Present a copy of complete grades (transcript of records or certification of grades) to the Admissions Office.
  2. If qualified, report to the College Dean for preliminary interview.
  3. If recommended to take the entrance examination, pay the admission processing fee of P400.00 at the Cashier’s Office.
  4. Present the official receipt to the Admissions Office to secure application form and the schedule of admission test.
  5. Submit to the Admissions Office the completed application form with all the required documents contained in a long brown envelope. Incomplete requirements will not be processed.
  6. Secure your admission test permit. The date and the venue of the examination will be indicated on the permit.
  7. Take the admission test on the scheduled date. Applicants must be at the designated room at least 30 minutes before the examination. Late examinees will not be allowed to take the examination. The test permit needs to be presented to the proctor.
  8. The applicant may inquire from the Admissions Office the status of his/her application two days after the testing date.
  9. Secure from the Admissions Office an endorsement slip to be given to the DLSL clinic for physical examination. The physical examination must be completed within the period specified.
    a. Applicants for BS HRM/Certificate in HRM and BS Nursing are required to submit to the DLSL clinic a copy of chest x-ray results and blood test result for Hepatitis B (HBSAG - Eliza method) on the period specified.
    b. The procedure must be done from the accredited hospital/clinic of DLSL. If already vaccinated, present a certification of vaccination from the doctor or a certified true copy of the Hepatitis B vaccination record.

  10. Once a notice of acceptance has been received, the applicant must pay the reservation fee of P1, 000.00 within the period stated on the notice of acceptance. RESERVATION IS ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. The reservation fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, but will be deducted from the tuition and fees to be paid during enrollment. No late reservations will be entertained unless slots become available.
  11. Applicants who qualify for admission are required to submit the following on the enrollment date specified in the acceptance letter:
    1. Original Copy and Two (2) photocopies of transcript of records or certification of grades issued by the registrar of school last attended
    2. One original and two photocopies of NSO-certified birth certificate
    3. Two (2) 2”x 2” recent, identical color pictures with white background
    4. Accomplished information sheet
    5. If married, two (2) photocopies of marriage certificate duly signed by a priest/minister

Note: Applicants who fail to enroll on the date indicated in the acceptance letter will automatically forfeit their slots in favor of wait-listed applicants.

SCHEDULE OF TESTING

The De La Salle Lipa Admissions Tests are usually given on Saturdays from July until April. Special Testing on weekdays may be held, depending on the number of examinees. Test registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
