Three Lasallians won Best Cinematography for their film “Huli” in the National Intercollegiate Short Film Competition 2017 (Camella Condo Homes Short Film Competition), Dec. 28, 2017, at the Pacific Residences Information Center, Taguig, Metro Manila.
The said film was written, directed, and edited by Aaron Matthew Orbase, a 4th year Multimedia Arts (MMA) student. Carlo Miguel Salandanan (4th year MMA student) and Fernand Angelo Orbase (Grade 11), on the other hand, portrayed roles in the film.
“Huli” is about Carlo, a freelance graphic designer tending to his brother with special needs. The story centers on Carlo’s struggles in balancing his work, studies, and family duties.
Students from various colleges and universities nationwide participated in the competition. Films were based on the theme “The Young Urban Minds”. Orbase and his team won certificates, a trophy, and Php 5,000.00
