De La Salle Lipa’s digital campus initiatives are under way as the institution strengthens its drive for 21st century educational innovations. Updates on the learning management system (LMS) and network infrastructure are thus set to keep students, partners, parents, and other stakeholders aware of the said programs’ developments.
From August to September, LMS Champions and Faculty participate in internal training while students’ Canvas accounts are activated. Students are also enrolled to their respective Programs, Courses, and Sections via the LMS platform. At this point, Canvas is initially deployed for the use of teachers and students.
Subsequently, from October to December, knowledge transfer takes place in the academe, together with project turnover. These are expected to occur prior to its full implementation by January 2018.
Network Infrastructure Updates
Upon performing Fiber Optic civil works and new data center installation in August, DLSL is now ready to provide WiFi access to every classroom, faculty room, and common areas by September. This will then be followed by WiFi access for all offices, deployment of a Unified Communication System, User Acceptance Test of Agnostic Fabric Network, Secured Network, and Project Closing by October.
