    Development of Bahay Aklatan
    Project K launched its second "Bahay-Aklatan Para sa Lipeñong Kabataan" on February 14, 2006 at Barangay San Guillermo. The reading center was made possible by the donation from Mr. Francisco Aguillera, a modest house situated just across the barangay elementary public shool. he offered the space to provide a learning resource center not only for pupils and teachers, but also for everybody in the community. De La Salle Lipa donated books and kiddie tables, chairs and cabinets. The Rotary Club of Lipa West also gave books. A short program highlighted the opening of the learning resource center. Present were Project K staff, De La Salle Representatives, staff of the Mayor's Office and Vice Mayor Lydio Lopez, representatives from Rotary Club of Lipa-West and DepEd.

    "KinaBOOKasan": A Book Donation Activity
    To support the collection and references in schools and community learning resource centers, Project K mobilized the students of De La Salle Lipa - Integrated School to donate books to their brothers and sisters in the public shools. This was spearheaded by the librarian of the DLSL Integrated School, Ms. Lilian Rabino. Individual donors were also tapped by Project K staff to add to the collection. All public elementary schools, especially the ones situated in some remote areas in Lipa, were given donation of books and educational materials. The donation will help every public shool to provide and initiated a reading center in their respective barangay in helping the children develop their reading and comprehension skills.

    Storytelling / Kid's Treat Activity
