    Reprinting of Workbooks and Teacher's Manuals
    The workbook and teachers' manuals that were developed, printed and distributed to all schools were reviewed, evaluated and improved. During the previous year, a total of 30, 913 workbooks were produced and delivered to all public shools in Lipa. This year, 40,773 workbooks were produced and distributed to all Grades 1 to 6 students of Lipa City public schools. Project K aimed to have a 1;1 ratio of workbooks of pupils.
     
    Likewise, 1,050 Teachers' Manuals were distributed to all Grades 1 to 6 teachers to complement the workbooks and guide teachers to effectively teach reading using the four-pronged approach.
     
   

Project K secured copyrights for both workbooks and manuals from the National Library of the Philippines. Turnover ceremonies were also held everytime reprinting and distribution is done to formalize the ownership of the books form De La Salle Lipa who is the facilitator to DepEd who is the user. The turnover ceremonies were graced by Project K Executive Director Dr. Corazon Abansi, Project K Co-Chairperson Hon. Vice mayor Lydio Lopez, Dr. Pamplona and Mr. Samson Isaga from Lipa City Mayors Office. The President and Executive Vice President of De La Salle Lipa also graced the events. Dr. Abansi, Project K's Executive Director is also the Vice President for Academic and Research of De La Salle Lipa.

     
    Parents' Training Workshop on Teaching Reading to their Children
    Project k conducted a Parents ' Training Workshop on Teaching Reading to their children at var ious barangays such as Brgy. Lodlod, Brgy. San Lucas and Brgy. 6. These workshops was participated by twenty-five(25) PTA Homeroom officers and was facilitated by three Project K staff headed by Ms. Aileen Joy Saul. The training workshop aimed to enable for the parents to learn the importance of consistent reading practice of their children at home. There were six (6) topics discussed. Group games were also introduced to maximize interaction among participants.
     
    Retooling of the Four-Pronged Approach to Reading for Grade I Teachers
    On May 25-26, 2006, Project K conducted the two-day refresher course and retooling of Grade One teachers on the Four-pronged Approach to Reading. This refresher course aimed to further enhance and develop their teaching skills. All Grade One teachers from the four districts in Lipa participated in this training seminar. The resource speakers were the Reading Experts of Project K who have honed their skills in the area of reading - Ms. Violeta Najarro, ms. Lourdes Abrogina, Ms. Divina Evangelista, Ms. Emma Resaba and Ms. Anafe Kaibigan.
     
    Results of the evaluation of the activity conducted showed that the refresher course was very useful in providing the venue where teachers can share their experiences in teaching reading using the four-pronged approach during the life of Project K. The event also gave them the opportunity to reconcile and agree methodological differences caused by circumstances associated with students, teachers and schools.
     
    Teacher's Day Recognition and Celebration
    On December 16, 2005, Project K celebrated the Teachers' Day and Workbook Development Evaluation at the Padre Valerio Malabanan Memorial School (PVMSS). The celebration aimed to celebrated the successes made by teachers in the classroom. Participants were teachers from different districts in Lipa together with Project K staff and volunteers. The occasion also served as an opportunity for Project K to express appreciation for the cooperation o teachers in the implementation of Project K's activities in school. A modest honorarium was given to teachers and school heads who constituted the Workbook Development Team.
     
    Project K's Educational Summit
    Project K recognizes the importance of stakeholder participation in the success of improving the quality of primary education in Lipa City. a concluding summit was organized on August 18, 2006, at the MTDC Auditorium of De La Salle Lipa and participated in by parents, teachers, barangay captains/village heads, youth representatives, parent-teachers organizations and representatives from higher education institutions. This event provided the venue for the project to share with the stakeholders its major acomplishments. Likewise, the summit set the directions to be taken by Project K to sustain its initiatives in sustaining education reform efforts in the community despite the completion of the grant form Ford Doundation. Dr. Corazon Abansi, Project Executive Director, facilitated the presentation of the accomplishments and the planning for sustainability.
     
    Division-wide Evaluation Workshop
    As part of the evaluation of Project K's performance, the project conducted evaluation workshop in four districts of Lipa City Division Office - North District , South District, West District and East District. This workshop was participated in by District Supervisors and all public school English teachers in Lipa City. the Executive Director, Dr. Corazon Abansi, presented the activities, achievements and sustainability plans of the project to the participants. Towards the end of the program the teachers were asked to answer a survey questionnaire on their perceptions on the interventions and improvements/reforms in the areas of capacity-building and instructional materials development.
