Dr. Corazon Abansi, Project K’s Executive Director, decided to apply for the copyright of the Language and Reading English Workbooks of Grades 1-6. Application form is downloaded thru the internet and accomplished in several copies. Affidavit of Waiver was signed by the authors of the English Workbooks under the copyright law in favor of De La Salle – Project K , which is represented by Dr. Abansi. The staff of Project K went to The National Library in Manilla last March 16, 2006 for the filing of the accomplished application for copyright form. A one-month period for the processing of the application was needed, the claim date is on April 16, 2006.
Copyright certificates for the six Language and Reading English Workbooks were claimed on May 5, 2006 instead of the scheduled date of April 16, 2006 since there are a number of prior scheduled activities that the staff have to attend to.
