    Bahay-Aklatan at Barangay San Guillermo
    Project K launched its second “Bahay-Aklatan Para sa Lipeñong Kabataan” on Februrary 14, 2006 at Barangay San Guillermo. The reading center opened was a modest house of Mr. Francisco Aguilera situated just across the barangay elementary public school. He opted to offer the said space for a very noble cause, that is, to provide a learning resource center not only for the benefit of the pupils and teachers, but for everybody in the community. There was a short program hosted by Ms. Aileen joy Saul, a Project K staff. The event was participated by Project K’s Executive Director, Dr. Corazon Abansi; De La Salle’s Ms. Lilian Rabino; representatives from Rotary Club of Lipa-West; DepEd representatives, Dr. Carmelita Bandelaria, Mr. Romulo Valencia, and Mrs. Cely Valencia; Vice Mayor Lydio Lopez together with his staff; Samson Isaga of the Office of the Mayor; SK Federation President Marvillone Asilo joined by his staff; San Guillermo Elementary School students and PTCA officers members, Mr. Francisco Aguilera and a number of Brgy. San Guillermo residents. Before the event ended, Project K in partnership with the De La Salle Lipa – Learning Resource Center and De La Salle Lipa – General Services Department donated books, tables and chairs.
