    Community Reading Program (CRP) with NSTP
    As part of Project K’s efforts in mobilizing the community in aid of reading comprehension and proficiency improvement among children and youth in Lipa City, a Community Reading Program (CRP) is being carried out this year in coordination with the National Service Training Program (NSTP) students of De La Salle Lipa, members of the barangay youth council, parents – teachers association and the Department of Education (DepEd) Lipa Division. This is an offshoot of the success of the barangay storytelling initiated and discussed in 5.1. The program involves the following major components: establishment of community learning centers, conduct of storytelling/ reading sessions and parents’ and communities’ training seminar as partners for building better readers.
