Project K – NSTP Workshop and Storytelling Activity

San Salvador Elementary students enjoy listening to the story and looking at the big book shown by NSTP students.
The elementary students raise their hands to answer the evaluation question of the NSTP students about the story read.
The NSTP Department agreed to adopt Project K’s Community Reading Program as one of the main components to be included in their course outline. A workshop was conducted at Shercon Resort, Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas on 14 July 2005. The workshop focused on the proceedings of the storytelling activity.
In coordination with Mrs. Bernadette Dimaculangan, Chair of NSTP, CRP – Storytelling Activity, it was decided that the the students’ first deployment week was on August 22 – 26, 2005 while the activity’s final deployment week will be on September 19 – 23, 2005. Project K provided the big books while NSTP teachers handled the training for the NSTP students as part of their curriculum. These NSTP students will carry out the storytelling to the public elementary students of Lipa.
