On 06 November 2002 , Former Lipa City Vice Mayor Fernando “Boy” Manguera and Dr. Corazon Abansi were guests at the Pulong Forum, a local cable TV network primetime show that tackled important issues and events. Dr. Abansi discussed how Project K came about and how the collaborative efforts of Lipa City Government, the Department of Education and De La Salle Lipa could improve the reading proficiency of the public elementary schools pupils of Lipa City . Vice Mayor Manguera provided an update of the general status of primary education in Lipa City .

On 19 March 2004 , the same local primetime show, Pulong Forum, guested Mayor Vilma Santos-Recto of Lipa City to talk about Project K. She discussed the progress of activities under the project and the direction it is taking for 2004.
     
    Radio Guestings
    On 05 December 2002, Dr. Cristeto Pamplona (Project K’s Co-Executive Director) and Dr. Corazon L. Abansi were invited to do a local radio guesting to rouse the public’s awareness of Project K’s objectives and activities.

Three years later, Dr. Abansi once again guested at a local radio program hosted by Mr. Ronnie del Rio on 04 August 2005. Dr. Abansi reported the completion of the printing of the most-awaited Project K Language and Reading workbooks for the Grades I to VI public school pupils of Lipa City, and announced the upcoming Workbook Turnover Ceremony and workbook distribution on 08 August 2005.

Ms. Aileen Joy Saul, Project K technical staff, also guested in the same program on 18 August 2005. Ms. Saul informed the listeners about Project K’s Action Plans, and announced Project K’s forthcoming Community Reading Program (CRP). She explained CRP’s components and the schedule of activities for the said program.
     
    Newspaper Feature Articles
    Mr. Jonathan Best, a writer-consultant for Synergeia Foundation, came to Lipa
City on 16 April 2004 to interview the key people of Project K for the development of
an article to be submitted to major newspapers in the country. The article entitled,
“Project K: for the children,” came out on 18-19 June 2004 on the weekender issue of
Business World. The article is shown as Annex 1.
     
    Pulong Forum Guesting
The local primetime show, Pulong Forum, guested Mayor Vilma Santos-Recto of Lipa City 19 March 2004 to talk about Project K.

Moreover, feature articles were published in various local newspapers and school papers as part of Project K’s information dissemination component.
