Synergeia
     
    3rd Synergeia Retreat
    The 3rd Synergeia Retreat was held at the YC James Yen Center at the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction in Silang, Cavite on 09-10 January 2004. The retreat was attended by the members of the different reading programs in the Philippines funded by Ford-Synergeia Foundation. The objectives of the retreat are the following:
  • To build knowledge on the significant challenges the different projects face as they pursue their respective programs, how they have addressed the challenges, and what challenges are common across programs.
  • To reflect on lessons learned from program implementation.
  • To analyze impact of programs on specific benchmarks, e.g. improving competencies of children, improving school financing, reducing dropouts.
  • To visualize a message/ theme/ direction/ priority that the members would like Synergeia to pursue for the coming year.
  • To provide an opportunity for fellowship and renewing ties among colleagues.
