    Exposure Trip to Cahbriba Alternative School
    Some members of Project K’s Reading Experts Team, Reading Coordinators and the representatives of Project K went to Los Baños, Laguna to make a one-day observation visit to Cahbriba Alternative School on 4 December 2003. The activity was part of Synergeia Foundation’s program to build a constituency that focuses on quality education. The school visited demonstrates use of innovative teaching techniques utilizing the different learning styles of individual pupils. The pupils were grouped into Learning Centers that promote teamwork among themselves and facilitate better classroom discussion. The Multiple Intelligence structure was recognizable where teaching is based on the different learning styles of individual students. Paciano Elementary School, a public school in the same town, adapted the same technique, proving that this alternative approach could be used by public schools even if it means veering away from the traditional.
