A major component of the Project K is workbook development for the public school pupils of Lipa City. The Language and Reading English Workbook is the product of the public school teachers’ and Project K’s collaborative effort of improving the reading competencies of public school children in Lipa City. This standardized workbook was based on the Four-Pronged Approach in teaching adopted by our elementary public school teachers. Furthermore, the workbook’s contents were customized according to the local setting, using illustrations and examples that describe the culture and lifestyle in Batangas. |

A total of 30,913 workbooks were distributed among Grade I to VI pupils in all schools of Lipa City. The distribution by grades and districts is shown in the table below. |
