Artists unite for art, education

As De La Salle Lipa celebrates its golden jubilee this school year 2012-2013, it is the institution´s ardent desire to provide more scholarship grants to financially disadvantaged but deserving students and give them a chance for a brighter future.

"Continuum: De La Salle Lipa Golden Jubilee Art Festival" is conceptualized with the vision to continue the cycle of service to the marginalized as exemplified by the founder - St. John Baptist De La Salle. The art show encourages more people to share their resources for a noble cause.

The country´s top visual artists joined hands in support of this endeavor. Some of the works of renowned artists, namely: Augusto "Gus" Albor, Moralde "Ral" Arrogante, Jose Alain Austria, Pandy Aviado, Bobby Balingit, Jet Bernal, Norberto Carating, Salvador "Buddy" Ching, Eugene Cubillo II, Jonathan Dangue, Daniel De La Cruz, Raul Lebajo, Romulo Galicano, Raul Isidro, Junyee, Leonore Lim, Marlon Magbanua, Ramon Orlina, Pearl Ortega, Glorife Samodio, Sharif Alrashdi Sakib Mohammad, Ruth Rina Tiangco, Mannet Villariba, Alva Alvarez, Lino Acasio, Emman Acasio, Lorna Achico, Jaime Raphael Atienza, Rogger Basco, Gerrico Blanco, Jorge Banawa, Demosthenes Campos, Salvador Convocar, Jhay Colis, Heraldo Corpus, Aranson Culibrina, Thomas Daquioag, Arthur De La Cruz, Cesar Delgado, Boyet De Mesa, Leni Garcia, Siefred Guilaran, Neil Arvin Javier, Ronald Jeresano, Lino Jamisola, Jethro Jocson, Michelle Hollanes Lua, Mischa, Francis Nacion, Darwin Peña, Sam Penaso, Ryan de Roxas, Ronaldo Ruiz, Ed Santos, Joan Sarmogenes, Fidel Sarmiento, Aner Sebastian, Arthur Serra, Boy Valisno, Jericho "Valjusto" Valmenta, Migs Villanueva, Kaye O Yek and Jaime Zobel De Ayala; as well as selected works of National Artists Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Jose Joya, and Arturo Luz will also be for sale to raise funds for scholarships while helping the community develop its appreciation for the visual arts through the art show.

The events are slated on September 22, 2012 at DLSL, Lipa, Batangas and on September 29, 2012 at Infinity Tower, Taguig. This rare occasion promises to please art enthusiasts and provide an array of quality and original masterpieces for art collectors and aficionados. Come and see the brilliant works of art and help transform lives.
