Ms. Jerueh L. Labro, an incoming 3rd year Juris Doctor student of De La Salle Lipa College of Law, was accepted this summer as an apprentice at the Supreme Court. Ms. Labro researched and helped draft decisions and resolutions of SC Justice Arturo D. Brion.

Per Supreme Court En Banc Resolution dated March 20, 2012, the Supreme Court found merit in exempting De La Salle Lipa College of Law from a couple of principal requirements of its Legal Apprenticeship Program, namely, that the Program shall be limited only to Manila-based law schools, and that the Program shall be open only to incoming 4th year law students.

As a result, De La Salle Lipa College of Law was the first law school outside Metro Manila to be allowed to participate in the Program; and Ms. Labro, "only" an incoming 3rd year student, likewise was the first to take part therein.

Finally, owing to Ms. Labro´s outstanding performance in the Legal Apprenticeship Program, the Supreme Court gave the assurance that it shall be reserving at least one apprenticeship slot for the De La Salle Lipa College of Law again next summer.
