 The sources of internal funds such as research grants, cash incentives, research deloading, research overload, conference support, publications support and publications expenses were discussed by Ms. Gina M. Dimaano, RPO Director and Treasurer of the CHED Region IV-A CALABARZON Research Council.
The event was in consonance with the organization´s one-day Research Capability Building Seminar for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in CALABARZON held at Tomas Claudio Memorial College, Morong Rizal, July 19.
The aim of the seminar was "to assist in planning and developing research programs and to enhance the development of research culture among HEIs."
Ms. Dimaano shared to the participants some sources of external research funds of DLSL like UPLB CHED final Research Center, Conservation International, Health Research and Development Conservation Region IV under Philippine Council for Health Research and Development and De La Salle Food Institute. She likewise told the audience the partial list of funding agencies among which a researcher can avail in case they want to pursue research activities.
Other topics discussed during the seminar were: Overview of Research as a Function of HEIs, Establishing Research Center and Accelerating Research Competencies, Research Funding, Ethical Issues in the Conduct of Research, and Writing for Fundable Research Proposal.
