 Nikko Gammad, a BS Math student and a product of DLSL´s Integrated School bagged the top award of UPLB MATHlete 2013: College Division held February 25, 2013 at the University of the Philippines – Los Baños.
Gammad, who made a new record as the lone DLSL Lasallian to ever earn this award, bested 99 participating students from different schools in the annual, region-wide contest vying for the title as the best "Mathlete."
Kudos goes to other DLSL representatives who participated in the same event, namely, Sarah Navarro, Jayver de Torres, and Dana Sison, who are likewise taking up BS Math.
The contest´s sponsor – UPLB´s Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Physics – provides this opportunity to serve as a "venue to showcase students´ mathematical skills in a competitive and friendly competition."
Faculty members who served as mentors were Roberto Marcelo, Jr. and Iezyl Torino.
