 De La Salle Lipa Alumni Association, Inc. (DLSLAAI) donated 65 chairs to Anilao Elementary School of Brgy. Anilao-Labac, Lipa City last July 2, 2012. Maria Concepcion R. Hernandez (BSCS ´03), DLSLAAI´s Committee Chair on Community Service and Lipa City Councilor, led the donation-giving activity of the association. She was joined by the members of the Community Service Committee - Dr. Benny Atienza (HS ´79) and Gina Lingao Sabater (HS ´82) and Crecelda Roldan-Dimayuga (HS 90), PR Committee Chair. They were also joined by Hart Macala (AB Comm ´12), DLSLAAI staff, and Israel V. Tan and Ms. Marinette Lina of DLSL Alumni Linkages and Development Office.
The donation is an output of the Community Involvement Committee´s project "Share-a-Chair" last June where 65 alumni were asked to donate P1000 for 1 chair. Through their donation, DLSLAAI was able to provide 65 chairs. The association believes that through one chair, they have provided not only a basic need but as well as a solution to the plight of the students in Brgy. Anilao-Labac.
