

Leaving a notable and lasting impression in three separate events, De La Salle Lipa’s formidable Math wiz Varsity Team brought home major awards from every contest.
In the Inter-Elementary Mathematics Quiz Bee held at UP Rural High School, the Math Wizards Team A, composed of Paolo Miguel Torres, Gerard Elmer Ilagan, and Brian Metrillo, all in Grade 6 (BB 41), bagged the silver medal; while the Team B composed of Andre Jerahmy Amante, Grade 5 (BB 302), Alex Anthony Andal, Grade 4 (BB 309), and Alexander Benedict Bulloso, Grade 4 (BB 309) made it to top 10 out of 40 teams. A special mention as well for two of the contestants for garnering the highest points in the elimination: Torres scored 49, and Ilagan scored 48, out of 50 points.
For the St. Therese College’s event, the STC Academic Quiz Show, held on October 12, 2015 in Bauan, Batangas, the following students were awarded the bronze medal: Paolo Miguel Torres, Gerard Elmer Ilagan and Frederich Galen Angeles.
As for the last event, the 7th Sci-Math Interschool Challenge with the theme “Achieving Global Competency and Innovation through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM),” held on October 24, 2015, hosted by De La Salle University – Integrated School (Canlubang), De La Salle Lipa was adjudged Overall First Runner-Up. Champion in Sci-Math Modulo Art – Pierre Romayne Ilao, Grade 10 (CMR 206). Champions in Sci- Math Infomercial – Julia Reymonde Llanes, Grade 10 (CMR 206), John Gabriel Garcia, Grade 10 (CMR 206), Vien Hannael Dimaculangan, Grade 10 (BM 206), Rizza Danna Austria, Grade 10 (BM 206), Lloyd Levi Cabacungan, Grade 10 (CMR 206), Carlo Lorenzo Cadiz (LS 401), Jacob Vince Macatangay (LS 401), Andrae Jamal Tecson (LS 401), Rey Edward Arcega (BM 101Z), and Lorenzo Miguel Villapando (LS 401). First Runners-Up in Sci-Math Race – Mark Allen Rocafort, Grade 10 (CMR 206), Angelo Vince Perez, Grade 7 (LS 205), Marcus Carlo Baroja, Grade 10 (CMR 206), and Angelina Mae Precilla, Grade 8 (LS 311). Second Runners-Up in Sci-Math Quiz Bee – Paolo Miguel Torres, Gerard Elmer Ilagan, and Frederich Galen Angeles.
