56 th Foundation Week Celebration “One Heart, One Commitment, One Life”
This year’s Foundation Week Celebration, De La Salle Lipa’s 56th (themed as “One Heart, One Commitment, One Life”), is anchored on the 300th anniversary of St. John Baptist de La Salle’s entry to eternal life, a celebration of the impact of the mission he started. It is also fitting to note that 2019 is the Year of Lasallian Vocations, a commemoration of our Lasallian heritage, furthering our commitment to respond to today’s reality and needs by promoting our mission, charism and founding story.
“One Heart, One Commitment, One Life” encapsulates Lasallians’ unity amidst diversity, emphasizing that no matter how Lasallians all over the world have various cultures, beliefs, and other attributes, we can all gear towards the same purpose: to provide a human and Christian education to the young, especially the poor.
“One Heart” pertains to educators touching hearts and our Lasallian communities associated from the heart. Meanwhile, “One Commitment” highlights the call for accomplishing our mission as Lasallians, and “One Life” allows us to reflect on and hope for the future of the Lasallian mission. We are attuned to this vision by following St. La Salle’s footsteps by heeding the call of God in our respective lives.
