

De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) offers BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (EMC), a program under the College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) starting School Year 2022-2023.
Entertainment and Multimedia Computing is the study and use of concepts, principles, and techniques of computing in the design and development of multimedia products and solutions. It includes various applications in science, entertainment, education, simulations, and advertising.
With two specializations, Game Development and Digital Animation, the said program responds to the demands of the 21st century workplace, equipping students with competencies in game development and 2D and 3D animation.
Career paths for the Game Development specialization include the following: game programmer, technical director, gamified systems developer, game animator, video game designer, graphics programmer, associate business development specialist for entertainment and multimedia industries, associate game quality assurance specialist, game sound engineer, and senior interactive software developer.
On the other hand, the Digital Animation specialization career paths include the following: technical animator, 2D/3D animator, multimedia specialist, Flash animator, animation quality assurance specialist, digital 2D/3D animation content producer, digital 2D/3D production designer, ad builders, technical director for game art, web developer, and graphics artist.
DLSL will do more than prepare graduates to handle the professional world. Graduates of the program will also develop a newfound understanding of how entertainment can affect perspectives on various societal issues.
Students will be well-equipped to create outputs that address important issues such as climate change, gender equality, poverty, and quality education. They can use their skills to advance worthy causes as well as create appealing forms of entertainment.
In partnership with De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, DLSL shall receive assistance from the said institution in terms of training programs for faculty, consultation services on curriculum design, software, hardware, and laboratories’/facilities’ requirements.
